Milk Makeup MVPs

Milk Makeup is a Cruelty Free, 100% Vegan and Paraben-Free products that I was hoping to get to try. Wish granted. Milk Makeup has a makeup bag full of trial sized containers of their MVPs. This set can be purchased on Milk Makeups site. Or where I found it, Sephora for $39.00.

It contains:

– 0.1 oz Deluxe Kush Mascara in Boom. This mascara contains hemp-derived cannabis seed oil and pure pigments.
– 0.33 oz Mini Hydro Grip Primer. I found this to be quite a sticky formula upon first application. It had an odd scent. It seemed familiar, but I could not place it. The insert says it has Hemp and blue agave. Good hydrators for the skin. My skin did feel smooth after applying the product once it dried and became less tacky. Give it one minute to fully absorb.
– 0.21 oz Mini Cooling Water. This product has natural seaweed and caffeine. This is to be placed beneath the eyes. I did not notice anything different or unusual.
– 0.22 oz Mini Watermelon Brightening Serum. The first ingredients are water, Butylene Glycol, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane…uh…what is that?
– 0.18 oz Mini Highlighter in Blitzed. Contains castor seed oil, avocado oil, silica and sunflower and a host of other ingredients.
– 0.19 oz Mini Bronzer in Baked. The first three ingredients: Castor oil, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate and sunflower seed oil.
– 0.18 oz Glow Oil Lip + Cheek in Glimmer. This buildable lip and cheek color contains isotridecyl isononanoate, which is an emollient binder, as the first ingredient. The second ingredient listed is another binder.

After using the products for the last couple of weeks, I have found that they are not for combination skin with an oily T-Zone. The Glow Oil Lip + Cheek in Glimmer is a beautiful sheer color. It gives you a more natural blush than what some other blushes do. It’s pretty as lip color. Every single product worked as it said it would. However, they did not hold up well on the oily parts of my skin. That part was disappointing, but expected. My only issue was the mascara. I love the brush and how it coated every lash. Yet, it transferred within a couple of hours. It easily cleaned up with a Q-tip, but if I were out running errands or at lunch with friends, that may not have been an option. I am thinking a lash primer might be the answer and Milk Makeup does make the KUSH Lash Primer. It makes a mini-size and a regular sized so I might try that on my next Sephora visit.

Would I purchase the full size products? Highly unlikely. Due to the inability of the product to stay on my skin for very long. The oily or dewy areas of my skin plus the humidity of the climate seems to work against me. I am glad I was able to try them out and see what nice items they were.

    1. They were nice items. Just not for me. The humidity coupled with my oily/combo skin makes products like these not work for me. If you have dry or normal skin I am sure these would work out just fine. I was going to suggest ordering from Milk Makeup directly if that was an option, but seems costly to “try” and waste money if they did not work out.
